Application Developer's Package for C/C++

Building client/server applications is complex. Digital has received many requests to provide information that help software application developers build client/server applications for the OpenVMS and Windows NT environment.

The Application Developer's Package provides a model and process for client/server application development across Windows NT and OpenVMS for C/C++ programmers. This package provides essential information about how to create 3-tier client/server applications that run across PCs, Windows NT, and OpenVMS. It includes documentation and working sample applications to describe and demonstrate 3-tier client/server application development.

This product consists of the following components:

• The Application Developer's Package User's Guide
• The sample application source code. This application demonstrates the tools and middleware that you can use to develop three-tier client/server applications on Windows NT and OpenVMS Alpha systems.
• A white paper entitled Things to Consider When Moving to a Clien/Server Environment
